Mondraker F-Play 26: an electric mountain bike built for young riders
Mahle X30 motor and 250 Wh battery: quiet, natural assist
The F-Play 26 runs a Mahle X30 drive unit housed in the rear hub, so the assist comes in smoothly and stays remarkably quiet. The 250 Wh Mahle iX250 battery is integrated into the frame and non-removable, which keeps the clean lines of a regular trail bike. The iWoc ONE main unit lets a young rider switch assist levels without taking their eyes off the trail. At 17.9 kg, the bike stays easy to handle, even when it has to be pushed up a steep pitch.
X-Fusion suspension: 140 mm front, 130 mm rear
Up front, the X-Fusion Slant RC 26 fork delivers 140 mm of travel on 34 mm aluminium stanchions, with lockout and rebound adjustment. At the back, Mondraker's Zero linkage moves through 130 mm with an X-Fusion O2 Pro R shock whose A-Tune light compression tune is set up to actually move under a lighter rider. Roots, rocks and small drops get absorbed instead of rattling young arms.
Junior proportions for real singletrack
Every contact point is sized down: 26-inch wheels, 155 mm Sram cranks, a 680 mm MDK handlebar, an SDG Fly JR saddle and SDG Slater JR pedals. The 125 mm X-Fusion Manic dropper post, operated from the bar, lets kids drop the saddle before a descent just like the grown-ups do. The F-Play 26 comes in a single build, in the Mintcore colourway, and sits alongside the rest of our electric mountain bikes on the showroom floor.
12-speed Sram Eagle drivetrain and four-piston Shimano brakes
The 12-speed Sram Eagle drivetrain pairs a 30-tooth chainring with an 11-50 cassette, a range wide enough to spin up long climbs without hunting for gears. Shimano MT520 four-piston calipers with 180 mm rotors front and rear give strong, predictable stopping power through Servo Wave levers, even for smaller hands. Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5 and DHR II 2.4 tires on tubeless-ready MDK rims round out the grip.
