About Devinci

Founding and Early Challenges

Founded in 1987 in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Devinci began as Da Vinci, a project by two engineering students from Saguenay. Shortly after, cycling entrepreneur Felix Gauthier acquired half of the company and rebranded it as Devinci. Facing challenges like tight budgets and limited distribution, Devinci innovated by building its own heat treatment equipment. This pioneering approach set the stage for the company’s success in high-quality bike manufacturing.

Focus on Performance and Advanced Technology

Devinci is known for its high-performance bicycles, including hybrid electric bikes, electric mountain bikes, and electric road/gravel bikes. The brand’s commitment to advanced technology is demonstrated by its use of Shimano and Bosch electric systems, which enhance the functionality and versatility of their electric bikes. Devinci’s patented Split Pivot system and cutting-edge designs ensure exceptional performance across various terrains.

Global Expansion and Future Prospects

From its Canadian roots, Devinci has expanded globally, providing over 125,000 public bikes in cities like Montreal, Toronto, London, and Dubai. Under the leadership of Francis Morin, Devinci continues to focus on supporting cyclists and enhancing their experience. With over 37 years of expertise, Devinci remains dedicated to producing durable, high-performance electric and traditional bikes, driving innovation in the cycling industry.
