Cube Kathmandu Hybrid C:62 Pro 400X: a carbon hybrid electric bike for commuting and touring
C:62 carbon frame: light and seamlessly integrated
The Kathmandu Hybrid C:62 Pro 400X is built around a C:62 Advanced Twin Mold carbon frame, with a fixed integrated battery and internal cable routing that leave the silhouette completely clean. The Integrated Carrier 3.0 rack and ACID fenders belong to the design rather than being bolted on afterwards, and the complete bike weighs 18.4 kg. Its liquidsteel'n'prizm paint makes it one of the most striking frames among our hybrid electric bikes.
Bosch Performance SX motor and CompactTube 400 battery
The Bosch Performance SX puts out up to 60 Nm with a smooth build-up of power that keeps your own pedalling at the centre of the ride. The Bosch CompactTube 400 battery sits inside the down tube and is managed through the Kiox 500 display and the handlebar LED Remote. A Bosch 2A charger rounds out the system, so plugging in at home or at the office takes no planning.
Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain and full ACID equipment
A Shimano XT ShadowPlus derailleur, a 10-51T Deore cassette and a 38T ACID crankset give you gearing for steep city climbs and loaded touring days alike. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors, a 50 mm-travel SR Suntour NRX32 iL fork and 50 mm-wide Continental Terra Adventure tires extend the ride onto gravel paths. Lights, kickstand, bell and Schwalbe Aerothan tubes are fitted from the start, the kind of attention to detail that runs through our Cube bikes.
Who it is for: daily riders and long-distance tourers
This Kathmandu suits the rider crossing Montreal before work as much as the one heading off for several days with panniers on the rack. Efficient Comfort geometry, a 700 mm Cube Comfort Trail Bar, ACID Travel Comfort grips and the ACID Sequence 180 Pro saddle keep your back upright and your hands relaxed hour after hour. The open frame is available in 46, 50 and 54 cm sizes.
