The Story of Terrene Tires

 

Founding and Focus

 

Terrene Tires was founded by Tim Krueger, who brought his experience from the bicycle industry and a love for outdoor adventure to the company, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company specializes in designing and manufacturing tires suited for various riding conditions, including gravel, dirt, mud, and snow. Terrene Tires is recognized for its durable and high-traction products, favored by bikepackers, gravel riders, and mountain bikers.

The Team and Culture

 

Terrene Tires is composed of a dedicated team of cycling enthusiasts. Alongside Tim Krueger and Joe Yang, the team includes Jim Glose for sales, Anders Broste for tire design and engineering, and Ryan Krueger for photography and marketing. “All of us are riders—when we aren’t working we spend a lot of time on our bikes. We are passionate about this sport and the products that we bring to market and are confident that other riders will take notice,” said Glose.

    • CakeEater - Fast rolling fat bike tires inspired by studless winter vehicle snow tires. Features lower center tread height for reduced rolling resistance and tall side lugs for better cornering. Optional stud pockets for added traction in icy conditions.

 

    • Yippee Ki Yay - Mixed surface fat bike tires designed to perform in diverse conditions from ice and snow to sand and dirt.

 

    • Johnny 5 - Extreme flotation fat bike tires for soft conditions, featuring a wide platform, tall paddle lugs, and 320 studs for maximum traction.
