About Scott electric bikes

The Beginnings and Innovations of Scott

Founded in 1958 in Switzerland by Ed Scott, the brand initially revolutionized skiing with the invention of the tapered aluminum ski pole. Scott quickly expanded its innovations into motocross in 1970 with specialized goggles and accessories, and in 1989, introduced the aerodynamic handlebar, used by Greg Lemond for his Tour de France victory. The brand continued to innovate with the Unishock suspension for mountain bikes in 1991 and the Endorphin carbon mountain bike in 1995, a legendary model in the mountain biking world.

Entry into the Electric Bike Market

Scott entered the electric bike market in 2011, in collaboration with Bosch. This innovation marked a turning point, with electric road, mountain, and hybrid bikes combining style and functionality. More recently, Scott has expanded its range by incorporating TQ electric systems alongside Bosch. These systems provide enhanced performance and natural assistance on all types of terrain.

Commitments and Recent Innovations

Scott continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and sustainability. In 2016, the SCOTT-Odlo MTB Racing team made history with victories in the world championships and the Olympics. The brand also launched the FOIL DISC in 2017, the lightest aerodynamic road bike with disc brakes on the market. In parallel, Scott developed technical winter sports clothing with ITD ProTec technology, offering increased abrasion resistance.

Scott stands out for its ability to combine performance, cutting-edge technology, and a commitment to continuous innovation, solidifying its position as a leader in the sports and cycling markets.
