E2-Sport was born from a simple idea: to become the go-to experts in electric bikes and collaborate with the best in the industry to offer high-quality products to Quebecers. We are two friends who graduated in Industrial Design from the University of Montreal. It was during our final undergraduate project that the idea for E2-Sport first emerged.
As part of our research, we tried an electric mountain bike and were instantly captivated by this innovative product. The more we explored, the more we discovered the growing popularity of electric bikes in Europe—a trend that had yet to take off in North America. That’s when our vision was born: to make E2-Sport the leading specialty electric bike shop in Quebec.
In the early days, we imported a few European models and showcased them at cycling events or through personalized test rides directly with customers. This hands-on approach allowed us to learn, better understand the product, and fine-tune our offering. In 2016, after a summer spent traveling across Quebec and witnessing growing enthusiasm for our bikes, we decided to open our store in Montreal, on Notre-Dame Street, to offer an even more personalized service.

When we started out, Quebecers searching for quality electric bikes often faced a lack of reliable information and service that truly met their expectations. That’s the exact gap E2-Sport set out to fill—by treating every customer like part of our family and helping them discover the perfect bike to match their needs and lifestyle.
